Fair Dates

GRANDSTAND EVENTS TO BE HELD AT POPLAR BLUFF MOTORSPORTS PARK

This year’s theme is Hometown Throwdown and check out these great events…

Saturday, September 28, 2024, starts with the Area 51 Pullers, LLC Lawn and Garden Tractor Pulls gates open at 10am. Registration starts at 10:30am. Event start at noon.  Cost is $10, children five and younger free.

USA Pullers Association Tractor and Truck Pull final event for the season. Gates open at 4:30pm. Event starts at 7pm. Cost is $15, children five and younger free.  Food trucks will be onsite.

EVENTS AT THE BLACK RIVER COLISEUM

Little Miss and Mister Beauty Pageant will be held Saturday, September 28. Registration/doors open at 8:15am. Pageant starts at 9:30am. 

Also on Saturday is the Butler County Fair 1st annual Cornhole Tournament presented by Upstage Cornhole, LLC; Campbell Cornhole, and Black River Cornhole. Tournament starts at 2pm.

The Home Economics, Field and Forage Crops, Fruits and Vegetables, Floriculture, and Youth Exhibits start Thursday, September 26 with entries being taken from 12pm – 8pm. Friday, September 27, from 7am – 10am entries will be taken also. Exhibit closed for judging until 5pm.  Exhibits will be open from 5pm to 8pm. Saturday viewing will be 8am – 1pm.

We encourage all ages to enter their canned goods, baked goods, crafts, photographs, art, plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables.

In conjunction with the exhibits is the Silent Auction – stop in and bid on items.  The silent auction helps to cover the cost of the Coliseum, ribbons, and premiums.

The season will end Friday, October 11 with the Pet Costume Leash March at the Downtown Dog Park at 6pm.  Then head over to Ray Clinton Park for the Butler County Fair’s Rodeo presented by Chalk Bluff Rodeo. Gates open at 5pm. Event starts at 7:30pm. Cost is $15 with children five and younger free.

How do I become a vendor?

Fill out our vendor form, include fee and return to P.O. Box 62, Poplar Bluff, MO 63902

Are strollers & wheel chairs allowed?

Absolutely! Please be mindful that this event is located outdoors at the fairgrounds, and grounds may be uneven. 

Are alcoholic beverages allowed?

No outside food or drinks are allowed. We have many food vendors and a beer tent for all your food and drink needs.
